About

My cattery is a very small one. I live on the outskirts of Copenhagen with my family, i.e. my husband and my 4 Sacred Birman cats of my own breed.

My Birmans are classic Birmans, a bit longish with regard to nose and body. In my breed I try to maintain the characteristics of the Birman cat especially focusing on eyecolour - a deep blue colour, fur - with low risk of tangling, white socks and gauntles - though they are difficult to control in breeding.

My breed is purely based on my interest in the Birman cat, and I only have one or two litters per year. The cats and kittens live with us in our house being socialized by the other cats and visitors to the house - among them of course grown-up daughters and grandchildren. The kittens receive a lot of attention and grow up to become social, affectionate and healty cats, see photos of "my" grown-up kittens here

My cats have access to their own closed-in garden from our house so they can have a bit of fresh air whenever they want to. They enjoy it very much and often spend hours sleeping out there or watchring birds or neighbours.

They are fed on the very best dry and wet cat food and have never tasted our kind of food. So I do not have cats begging for food when I prepare meals for the familiy. But the cats join us with during meals and whereever we are in the house.

I have recently retired from my job as a full-time teacher at a business school after teaching for 24 years - we are all very pleased :-).

IC Heras Akeleje, SBI c

Akeleje is 11 years old and neutered. She is the mother of Heras Evita and Heras Karmen. She is a very affectionate cat and enjoys her retirement from shows and births. She is also a classic Birman, a bit long in her looks and with a silky, semilonghaired fur, which does not tangle at all. Her eyecolour and looks have improved over the years.

Heras Evita, SBI a

Evita is 8 years old and neutered. She is the mother of Heras Gulliver.  Her temperament is absolutely lovely, and she has passed it on to Gulliver.  Her eyecolour is a bit darker than Akelejes - and her fur a bit more difficult. She needs grooming rather often.  Her fur changed after sterilization, which is often seen.

IP Heras Gulliver, SBI a

Gulliver is almost 7 years old, also neutered. He is regularly on show, heading for GIP. He is a bit of a lazy cat, prefers to lay down most of the time. But he is so gentle to everyone, also to the other cats and kittens,

He gets very good reports  from the judges, "ex" all the way down and "ex temper".
